WOODHULL RACEWAY ANNNOUNCES CLASS SPONSORS FOR 2021 SEASON.

(Woodhull, NY) With the 2021 race season rapidly approaching the ownership of the Woodhull Raceway recently released the names of businesses that will be sponsoring its eight weekly classes of competition.

Insinger Performance of Dushore, Pa. will return as the Official Race Fuel Supplier of Woodhull. Company owner, Bruce Insinger has been supplying high grade racing fuel to the Woodhull Raceway for decades and 2021 will be no exception. With two grades of fuel available Insinger knows what the racers needs are and they can produce the goods, be it SUNOCO or VP. Insinger Performance will once again sponsor the premier Modified Division at the Woodhull Raceway which will see their season opener on Saturday, April 24, 2021. The participating NAPA Auto Parts Stores from across the Twin Tiers of NY and Pa. are back at Woodhull in 2021 to sponsor the highly competitive 602 Crate Sportsman Division. With over a decade of competition at Woodhull previous track owner, Vern Wasson brought in the 602 Crate Sportsman Class when it was just getting off the ground in the northeast and the class has grown in leaps and bounds. Featuring a mixture of veterans and young guns the division is basically a Modified with a spec 602 Chevrolet powerplant making the class much more affordable than its big brother, the Mighty Modified. A group of NAPA Auto Parts Stores come together every year to sponsor the 602 Crate Sportsman Division with locations including Addison, Bath, Corning, Hornell, Lawrenceville, Pa. and Wellsville. Big Jim’s Wicked Tees of Odessa, NY will once again be the headline sponsor of not one but two classes that race weekly at the famed Woodhull Raceway. The 4 Cylinder Mini Stocks along with the youth Woodhull Warrior Classes will fly the Big Jim’s Wicked Tee’s banner throughout the 2021 season. Company owner, Chris Daugherty is a former racer himself having run in multiple divisions on both pavement and dirt over his career and with that knowledge he knows exactly what the racers and fans need when it comes to custom embroidery work. After several years in the used vehicle business, Daugherty completely shifted gears in 2019 and jumped headfirst into the competitive embroidery business and as they say the rest is history. The Woodhull Warriors began at the track by former owners, Scott and Amy Drake just before the turn of the century in the late 1990’s with the class giving youngsters the opportunity to drive a full blown 4 Cylinder race car in actual competition. For well over twenty years the class has produced a multitude of drivers that have gone on to greatness including the likes of Donnie Lawson, Kenny Peoples Jr., Brett Marlatt, Bryce Davis, Kreg Crooker and a host of others that used the class as a steppingstone into Street Stock, Late Model, Sportsman and Modified driving careers. The Hobby Stocks are somewhat new to Woodhull and like the NAPA Sportsman the Woodhull Auto Parts Hobby Stocks features a mix of both veteran drivers and raw rookies. Joe Willcox Performance Automatics has become a household name in sponsoring the popular Street Stock Division at Woodhull. Joe and Jean Willcox are huge supporters of the facility in a multitude of ways, and they will return this season to once again back the full fendered Street Stocks. Originally started some fifteen years ago as an Enduro Division, the popularity of the FWD Class immediately forced former track owner, Vern Wasson to make it a weekly division at the track running qualifying heats and a twenty-lap feature. Like the Mini Stocks and Hobby Stock Divisions, the Johnson Auto Supply Front Wheel Drive Class is an entry level division, however there are many extremely talented drivers that stick around without moving up to other divisions which speaks volumes of the competitiveness and affordability of the class.
