Wcis 8-1 write up in press release section

I think that since it's a write up in the press release section, any discussion on it's content would belong in the racing discussion section... I've been seeing it a lot lately and just taking this guess as to why they are doing it that way

Any discussion regarding a Press release or Official results from any track will NOT be allowed; if one wishes to "discuss" anything related to information posted, start a topic in "main" discussion page--simple as that!!!

Fair enough. If you'll excuse my ignorance, I have 1 more question. Why aren't all threads locked in that section if no one is allowed to discuss anything in that section? As stated by raceannouncer, press releases and results aren't allowed to be discussed in that section. Since that is all that is allowed to be posted in that section, there should be no replies whatsoever in that section, no? Yet very few threads are locked in that section, allowing for posting.

I've written to the admin to find out if it can be done automatically whenever anything is posted there--admittedly, right now, it is hit-or-miss but people are taking things way too personally if something is done to a post they are participating in. It is NOT an insult or punishment...locking them all could be a solution but how far back do we go??? (And it would have to be done one at a time)! I finally gave in to the members' notion that PR/results can be posted in the main page and now the section is all stuffed up with them.
Here's a novel idea raceannouncer, can I call you Paz? 8) Why don't you and/or the Administrator start putting the Master Lock and the Press Releases and Results forum starting now?raceannouncer said:
