Kosmo .. where did you read the race was cancelled?  The ROC involvement yes but the VMRS is still on as far as I know.

If the Maniac is right and the car count is low that will probably doom any further asphalt Mod racing at A Born.

GD shame too as that place has fantastic racing. The dirt cars there put on a great show.

Really is a shame the ROC/MRS could work together on this event.

UM...What is your story for next weekend at ROC? Against my better judgement, I'm going to take my chances and go up Sunday I think.

from the Airborne web page>>

Valenti Modified event moved to this Sunday, 9/7 - 1 pm
The Valenti Modified Series/Final Airborne points event has been postponed until this Sunday, September 7 at 1 p.m.

The change was made to better ensure that the Valenti Modified teams and fans will be less likely to have travel plans affected by rainfall given the current forecasts and the Airborne divisions will be more likely to complete all scheduled events,

Pits open Sunday at 8 p.m. - Grandstands open at 10 a.m. Today's (Friday) scheduled practice is still on.

It will probably not be any better than that modified/sportsman circus display VMSRS put on at Jack Arute's Stafford Motor Speedway recently. To call that a modified series is the same as calling the one in New York the same. Never will they be equal to the NWMT. I know one thing, when they (VMSRS) are Jack Arute's Stafford Motor Speedway from now on out, I won't attend. So, boring, then you add those wasteful extra warm-up periods called heat races in, just one big waste of time. TIME TRIAL THE FIELD, LINE THEM UP, AND THROW THE GREEN FLAG.

Who's going? Thought about making the trip Saturday, or possibly Sunday for a rain date.

As you can see, I asked who was going. Not who WASN'T going or why you chose not to go. Your intelligent opinion was greatly appreciated though... ::)

Your probably a big fan of nascar big 3 series also.... Anyone that don't like heat races over time trials don't sound like much of a short track fan. And most vmrs races I've seen were very good shows.  Haven't really been to or seen a tour race that just left ya saying wow in a good while.

The Wizard of OOZE responded to yet another topic that doesn't involve his beloved tour.

Like watching the Wizard of Oz over and over ..the ending is the same.....just like your posts.

HOOSIER DADDY ISN'T ATTENDING ANYMORE VMRS RACES!!!!!!

quick ...someone alert the media.

A front page item for  whogivesaratsass.com  no doubt.

Thanks for chiming in Daddy, we were wondering what your stance was. I'll call Jack and tell him you can't make it tomorrow. ::)

now close your eyes.....put your feet together......click the heels of your ruby red sneakers three times and say:

There's no place like Stafford...there's no place like Stafford......     ;D ;D ;D

WOW Laminate

A grand total of 17 cars at Airborne.

Just keeps getting better. The numbers don't lie.

NWMT (no sportsman allowed) 2014 - 17 teams have made all the scheduled races.

VMSRS (Valente Modified/Sportsman Racing Series) 2014 - 6 teams have made all the scheduled races.

ROCMSRS 2014 - Not even going to post those pathetic numbers.

You better click the heels of your fuzzy bunny slippers together three times and repeat, "there's no place like the living room floor, playing with my matchbox cars".

.....or Jennerstown
.....or Richmond
.....or Martinsville
......or Beach Ridge

Wow.. the MRS has one race that your tour beat on car count...I'm impressed.

Daddy...  how many cars started and finished at Caraway last night?  In the NASCAR Tour race

Give you a hint LESS THAN 17

Still searching for that brain aye.scarescow?

Hoseyourdaddy , what's your deal ?

Are you just upset when any "real mods" run at a track not owned  by jack aroot ?

The first 60 laps were a snooze fest as the cars rode around saving their tires.  Tommy Barrett reminded me of Matt Hirschman as he was nearly three quarters of a lap behind at one point.

On (or around) lap 79, Barrett spun out all by himself coming out of turn 2.  You have to wonder if he did it on purpose as he had no chance of catching the leaders without a caution.

During the last 20 laps, Barrett passed nearly everyone on the lead lap except Bonsignore as Justin held him at bay with some defensive driving.

All in all, an okay race at a very nice facility.
