I went to Chemung for the first time since 2015 to see the ROC mods Saturday and 6 hours later i was finally on my 3 hour drive home.I wont be back.I saw 3 fights,2 were fans in the stands and were just verbal jabs but the third fight was nothing short of WWF quality that took place in front of the concession stand.I tell people that after going to Chemung ,the rest of the tracks i go to are like going to church.

As far as the length of the day goes you're right, Bozo. Somewhere there had to be a full moon. Sorry you won't be back.

Chemung fights? Nah, that kind of stuff never happens there, LMAFO. Maybe it's time to get rid of the ringmasters who control the circus there.
JRKENN, don't you work for area auto racing, pretty sure we've met? Interesting, I'm sure they'll be happy to know how somehow who should promote racing, made the above comment. Step right up, step right up, I heard Jrkenn is interested in being the new ringmaster, oh wait you couldn't handle it. There is not a chance in hell you'd be able to handle anything that goes on at any track, you'd hide behind a keyboard and make negative remarks. You appear to be good at making negative remarks about a local race track, that folks in that area enjoy. BOZO6106, that's too bad that the drivers were causing cautions, did you make a BAD review of the ROC race as well, as the mods had their fair share of cautions, my guess is you did not, keyboard warrior. Not one person, official or promoter drives the cars, so please explain your placing blame on the 6 hours as being the fault of the "track". You'd probably complain if you drove 3 hours and the show only lasted 2 hours. People like you 2 are the reason that someday there won't be ANY racing to attend, you can thank yourselves! Try better next time to "support" racing or maybe actually try Church where you might actually learn something, or is Church too long for you to sit through? If I were a track owner, I wouldn't WANT you there. I've checked and most of your comments on this site are negative, maybe bowling or tennis would be a better fit for you 2, sounds more like something that would satisfy you. And not that it's one bit of your business, while I'm pretty sure all tracks have verbal arguments, but the lovely group that actually had a fight, was due to a 3 way lover's quarrel they "brought" with them and not one damn thing to do with racing, but tell it however you want to so that it fits your negative narrative, because you know it all. I'm sure it was very scary for you and you would never see that at a Nascar race or any other sport, so I'm sorry you had to experience that horrible event. You both are definitely bad for the sport. Tennis anyone?

I agree with Bozo on one thing, after also returning to Chemung for the first time in many years this Saturday I also will never return. I did not see fights but is it a good business practice to have a 2:00 start time published and have 2 lap time trials start at 2:40? Most of us have been going to tracks and races for many years and understand some times there are “full moons” but yesterday was painful but self inflicted. It’s a shame because the track is very nice and as fans we want to support the sport but after about about 3 hours there watching yellow flag after yellow flag I remembered why I stopped going there as six hours is just way too long of an afternoon for some of us.

The ROC mods have issues as well.Get rid of time trials and just draw for heat starting posistions. This would save at least 45 minutesI am not afraid to go to the races because of fights ,i was just making an observation .The classes that are having all the cautions could be give a time limit to complete their race ,say 40 minutes or 25 laps whichever comes first. This idea has been tried at other tracks and has worked.I do not hide behind the keyboard,my name is in my profile for all to see.I have been a fan since 1972 and drove a super stock at Spencer and Shangri-la from 1985-1994.I love racing and i love Chemung .I did not mean to offend anyone.I dont have $millions of dollars to own and run my own track but if i did i would make lots of changes.Where was Matt Hirshman and Mike Leaty??

I agree with that. If you're going to run heat races anyway, why waste time for the fans, and gas and tires, for the competitors? Last season, I was at all of the ROC races at Spencer, with several friends. and a fellow, all by himself, wound up sitting next to me, one of the nights. Of course, we get to talking, and he said that he drove to Williamson from Schenectady, a trip in the neighborhood of 2 hours. I'm pretty sure that anything that could streamline the show, would be appreciated by all the fans (and competitors) who, like him, drove a significant distance.
