Smoke should have grabbed Cody Darrah before Kasey Kane did!! Cant say Steve is bad cause he is great just not a huge fan. Cody for a 20yr. old is awesome and has a HUGE future ahead of him!!

WoO: Steve Kinser Lands With Tony StewartWritten by: Robin Miller 12/10/2009
Indianapolis, IN Two of the most successful names in American motorsports are teamming up for 2010 as SPEEDtv.com has learned that Steve Kinser is joining Tony Stewart's team in the World of Outlaws.

Stewart, a champion in USAC, IRL and NASCAR who also fields winning teams in USAC and WoO, couldn't be reached for comment but pairing the 55-year-old legend with new WOO bully Donny Schatz seems like a perfect way of saluting The King's checkered career.

"Yep, it's true, Tony is giving me a great opportunity," said Kinser on Thursday afternoon from his shop in Bloomington, Ind. "It's a pretty cool deal for an old guy like me and I can't thank Tony enough.

"The No. 20 car wasn't quite up to snuff this year so I think he wants to see if I can help turn things around."

Of course the irony is that the 20-time WoO champion, winner of 552 A-Mains, will be taking his son, Kraig's, seat on the team that's captured four consecutive WOO crowns with Schatz.

"Yeah, Kraig and I are switching rides and he's going to drive for me
next season," said Kinser, who had two wins and finished fourth in the 2009 point standings while his son was eighth. "Kraig is only 24 and he doesn't have that much experience in sprint cars so I think this will be good for both of us.

"Donny is a helluva driver and has a ton of experience and he didn't have a lot of wins when he was 24 either."

Kinser, who recently had successful neck surgery performed by Dr. Terry Trammell, will have Bass Pro Shops as his primary sponsor and Quaker State remains as his associate backer. "Quaker State is the best. They've been with me since 1994 and I think they'll be with me until I quit, whenever that is," he said with a chuckle.

"I still feel competitive and I still love driving but I wasn't sure I was going to have the fianances to keep going so this is a fantastic deal for me

Good luck to all involved.
Kraig sounds happy to be back in family equipment and dad took his place at tsr.
Just wish tony wouldnt have dropped his midget and scaled back his usac stuff!
