Shangri La 2 and Skyview Drags

I think the Zacharias family is involved in the oval track. (already some people are saying that they should convert the surface to dirt by putting clay over it.) Some think a dirt track would draw lots of race cars and spectators. I will say that the Zachariases did a great job at the end when theyn ran the original Shangri La Speedway (paved) which they had to change the name of the track to Tioga Motorsports Park.

My “Uncle” Terry Zacharias called me two days ago and told me I was in charge of putting on an Enduro at Shangri-La II Motor Speedway we have the chance to be the first race back on the circle track. Specific day is TBD but pencil in February 3rd as a potential date.
Everything is still in discussion including rules, looking at 4 cylinders only and the basic rules Evergreen Raceway uses.
Tell everyone you know and let’s see if we can’t open the Concrete Castle back up with a bang while we #MakeEndurosGreatAgain #back2racing
A good sight to see racecars on the track today. Place is in a lot better shape than most anticipated. The drag strip will officially reopen on April 27th with the first of many no prep races to kick it off. Updates on the circle track will come along over the next few months.

Yes Mike we tested a couple of different cars today putting all the stories about the surface a side. the track surface is the same as it was when it was last raced on now, it’s time to get everything in working and safe order to open the oval track it will open some time next season. if anybody out there is interested in helping clean up the place please don’t hesitate to call terry on getting it operational call 1607 760 6292 thanks

Shang 2 update…
I, Terry Zacharias have stepped away from my position/involvement with Shang 2. It was not an easy decision for me to make with the love of the sport that I have and that feeling to be a part of the team to open the track back up. I had a lot of support from my family and as a family we decided at this time this was what was best.
So, with that being said the Shirley Zacharias memorial race scheduled at Shang 2 on May 26, 2024 has been cancelled. I am in the process of returning any sponsorship money received for the oval track, such as lap sponsorship and foam block sponsorship.
I don’t know what the owners plan going forward for racing at the track are, but wish him the best of luck and hope it is a huge success.
I would also like to thank everybody that came and helped get the track cleaned up. I really appreciate everything you all did, thank you.
