So sorry to hear this saddening news. Always enjoyed talking with Ray he will be missed tremendously. He fought a hard battle and was a tough as nails. Rest peacefully my friend.

Sad news indeed about Ray's passing. Ray was certainly one of the nice guys in racing and was willing to help everyone that asked (and didn't).
RIP and the entire Petty family sends their condolences to the entire family
Ray raced for a number of years and was quite successful. He picked up many wins and was the 1995 and 1998 Ransomville Speedway Sportsman champion with his #68 rides. R.I.P. Ray.
Here he is with his 1995 ride that was featured on the cover of the Raceday Magazine program. That was the program that was used for the Lancaster and Ransomville Speedways when it was owned by the Friesen family.
We spent alot of nights parked next to him at spencer, Ray was a great guy!! He was missed at Spencer the last cpl of years.

I had never talked to Ray before this year. When I needed some advice implementing the tire program this year I was told I should call him for help.I did and he did not hesitate in giving me advice on what I should do. Outstanding gemtleman and friend of racing. Sincere condolences to the family.
