Dennis, it's not that we don't care about our sport, it's just that those of us who DO care, already have a lot of this material in our own collections. In my case, I'm getting pretty close to 70 years of age, so I sometimes look around my house/garage and wonder where all of my "stuff" is going to wind up....

Before you simply "trash" it, do you know of anybody who is connected with one of the Veterans' Hospitals in the area? The hospitals don't solicit "donations" of reading material, but I knew someone whose wife worked at the VA hospital in Batavia. He was telling me that his wife said that the vets liked to read through car magazines.

At that, I told him that I could provide him with quite a bit of magazines, as I, too, was in a position of having to clean house. I brought him a large number of magazines, his wife took them into the hospital, and she said they were most appreciated. Unfortunately, the person I knew, died a couple of years ago, and when I called the hospital, looking to donate some more reading material, they said they don't accept them.

I'm guessing that they don't want to become a "dumping ground" for stuff that people no longer want, but someone who works there, can bring reading material in, a little bit at a time. So, if you know someone......
