For those not keeping track of the updated rules, I just noticed the transmission rules at Raceway 5 were updated and been changed on Jan. 21st. Single disk clutches has been removed and torque converter size has been removed. Now just reads auto or manual transmissions no direct drive no internal clutches. And Freedom is allowing Bert style trans but adding 40 pounds to nose (subject to change) . Not sure if Raceway 5 is following suite on that one, Jims phone number is on the website for those with questions. I know I got some decisions to make on which way to go with this as I planned on visiting both tracks this year...

I really like both tracks but with the tranny and clutch rule gone now Burt trannys and its all ways been in the back of my mind why don't they just open up the street stock rules to a pro street stock no aluminum heads small block only cars.There are for to many pro stocks sitting in the weeds that guys want to race but can't travel that would love to dig them out and race again I had this brought to my attention many time but my hands were tied.Fast cars are going to be fast and slow cars are going to be slow lets start making this about car count

Mckean county raceway will be updating their stock car rules to exactly what you are talking about, steel motors, open 2brl carb, 8" track tire. (current rules on sight will be updated)

Keep on opening up those streetstock rules and the streetstock will go the way of the prostock extinct

bring it on 10 i am building a new street stock right now so that shows how much you know. the only reason poeple are upset like you is i was right . hope i find out who you are hiding behind your computer so we could talk like man. i am over the crate vers open i knew what was going to happen there and it did.

Just a couple thoughts: As far as the "prostock sitting in the weeds" deal goes, I just don't buy they have no where to run as an excuse, most of all the leaf spring prostocks are legal as street stocks by bolting on 8 inch rims. Read the rules and see if your car fits them u would be surprised what little changes will make them legal, but I'm sure most drivers know this, they are not running anymore for other reasons. I guess after thinking about it I'm kinda scratching my head cause I thought the 2 tracks were aligning the rules to draw from eachother, considering Freedoms copied Batavia rule book word for word, but now with the updates to the tranny rules a Freedom car with a bert can't run Batavia, and a Batavia car with a triple disk can't run Freedom, don't make much sense to me if they are sister tracks, oh well guess ill either just keep my glide and run both tracks at a disadvantage, or buck up and change my car to run Batavia only. I gotta make that decision now.

Nothin like a good ole piss and moan session in the off season to pass the time ;D. Its frickin freezin outside, gotta travel over 2 hrs to find rideable snow for the sled, Wait a minute I forgot I got a racecar I could be working on... but I forgot I cant afford to heat the shop cause I own a racecar ;D. Maybe I can barter. Hey brd2, ill trade u a 30 pack of Coors light for a tranny cooler. ;D
