RaceNewYork Forum Changes Upcoming

FYI....we're experimenting with a different theme for RaceNY. By default we've set it to our favorite, Shades of Blue.
You have control over your favorite too...at the bottom left of any page you can change it to what you like (look for the paint brush icon). You can choose from:
- Default (light white background)
- Shades of Blue (Blue, new default)
- Shades of Grey (Grey / Black background).
Also, you can change it permanently in your User Preferences. Click on your User name in the upper right of the screen and select Preferences.

We continue to make changes...today we're messing with navigational ideas.
We are experimenting with the Home (or main entry URL raceny.com) tab taking us to a Latest Posts page. Then, next to that is the News tab...which takes you to the Latest regional news page.
And then, the Forums tab...which I'm working to take you to the regular forum page.
Why? We can do much more with this new software, something for everybody.

This site just appears to be a little confusing to me , I liked the old format much more.
I understand. We put this in place without giving anyone a lesson or tutorial so your response is not unexpected. Sorry about that.

Is there something "messed up", today?? All I can access is what appears to be the "press release" page......
And since I'm thinking about that, does anyone know if some sort of deal has been worked out between the ROC folks and Spencer Speedway (John White) for the 2021 season. Yes, I know the regular response is, "contact ROC through their site", but I tried it several days ago, and didn't get a response....

What we are trying is when you enter the web site (raceny.com), instead of the main forum list you are seeing the "most recent posts". If you want to navigate to the "forum list" (like it always has been) there's a blue button named " Forum List" that you can click to get to the forums.
All of the "new posts" are stored in the forum, it's just an attempt to make it easier for folks to see new content....whether it's PR, Results or Discussion.
One of the reasons for this test is with everyone using Facebook, Twitter and every other method of communicating....they don't want to come here any more. So, we are trying to provide a hub for people to see what's going on in the region, from all those resources.
Other than it's obvious visible differences...it's not entirely that different from the old site, just the content is not squeezed into the left side bar of the website is all. And a button click gets you to the forum list again.
Again, we're just testing ideas. Some will work, some might not. But at least we're trying to make it better for everyone.
