With Roy Silvers Memorial 68th Season Points Opener presented by Buckley’s Automotive just four days away, over the next few days we will take a peek at former Season Opener winners, and see how many of them went on to with their division Track Championship that year.

Let's set the Outlaw Time Machine to May 3, 2024 and point it at Victory Lane:

The Friendly Dodge Chrysler Jeep RAM Modified Feature winner was Ajay Potrzebowk II. Alex Payne (eventual Track Champion), Danny Johnson, Mike Maresca, and Jeff Daugherty rounded out the Top 5.

It took four heats and a hooligan to determine the Knapp & Schlappi Lumber Co. American Racer Sportsman Feature winner who was Dave Rogers over Carter Crooker (eventual Track Champion), Brian Fish, Donnie Lawson, and Justice Mayo.

In the Swarthout Recycling & Container Svce Street Stocks Jimmy Grant won the Feature over Gene Sharpsteen (eventual Track Champion), Glenn Whritenour, Carl Cleveland, and Joe Giardina.

In the Winners Circle Deli and Grill Deli Morse Four Cylinders eventual Track Champion (by tiebreaker) Willy Easling notched the dub over Craig DeCamp, Ray Hyer, Mike Stone, and Travis Southard.

In the NAPA of Addison, Corning, Hornell, Wellsville Hobby Stocks Doug Batterson won the Feature over Jaredd Dennis (eventual Track Champion), Marc Minutolo, Justin Eldredge, and Nate Peckham.

Parker Cunningham got the dub in the Fritz Masonry Youth Bandits.

So in our Fast 5* Divisions in 2024, the eventual Track Champion in four divisions finished P2 in the Season Opener. Willy Easling was the lone winner who went on to Title glory.
