Joe is not a stranger to the Hard Clay as he is also a flagger in the Short Track Super Series events (STSS). At the age of 7 his mother sewed together his very first set of race flags which he put to use in the 4th turn bleachers at Fonda Speedway. In 1992 he became the Head Flagger at Dodge City Speedway and held onto this position until 2014. Joe also served as the official backstretch flagger at Fonda Speedway from 1997 until he was promoted to Head Flagger in 2015. In addition to continuing as Fonda's Head Starter, in 2019 Joe also took on being a flagger in the Short Track Super Series events. This is just a little historical background information besides Head Flagger at Glen Ridge Motorsports Park and flagging Go-Cart, motocross and ice racing events. Let's welcome Joe Kriss to the Hard Clay and his continued success which began in the 4th turn bleachers of the Track of Champions.
