OUTLAW SPEEDWAY LOSES ANOTHER ONE TO RAIN ON FRIDAY, MAY 9, 2025.
4th Annual Roy Silver’s Memorial moved back one week to May 16, 2025.
Story by Kenny Shupp Jr.
(Dundee, NY) It is understood that inclement weather in the northeast quadrant of the United States in 2025 has been a challenge.
The Outlaw Speedway along with numerous other race venues in New York have been on the losing end of a battle with Mother Nature for well over a month and a half and things did not change this past Friday as once again a massive frontal system enveloped much of the northeast knocking out racing once again at the famed Yates County Oval.
For the second consecutive week, Outlaw Speedway owner/promoter had little choice but to cancel the May 9, Roy Silvers Memorial 68th Season Point Opener.
“This place is built to drain. The track surface, pits and spectator parking areas are just fine, but we cannot race in the rain. With an 80% chance of precipitation all evening it makes the decision easy. We can only hope for better weather next Friday. That is according to Outlaw Speedway owner, Tyler Siri.
The Silvers Memorial sponsored by Buckley Automotive including all posted purses, previously purchased tickets and wrist bands from May 2 will all be in place for the May 16, 2025, show which will include School Bus Races presented by Harris Bus Lines of Lindley.
Gate times for both Pit and Grandstand entry along with ticket prices and hot lap times will all be posted throughout the upcoming week along with other valuable data on www.Faceboo.com/OutlawSpeedwayLLC/.

Camping is always free at Outlaw Speedway and fans are encouraged to bring their campers along and stay the night.
Outlaw Speedway offers a pair of beer concessions. The Turn 4 Tavern is located on the grandstand side of the facility while the Outlaw Saloon is in the pit area complete with an upper deck observation area giving onlookers a breathtaking view of the Fast 4/10 of a Mile Clay oval.
