Heres an L.O. Duncan photo from Chemung Speedrome in 1970 or 71. It's my Mom, Eris Welty, with a Powder Puff Division win on the pavement. The car is my brothers second ever racecar. 1957 Plymouth with a 318c.i. mopar motor. We raced this car on the dirt at Dundee on Fridays and on the Pavement at Chemung on Saturdays. The Powder-Puff Division was a regular series and not just a novelty race and some of those "ladies" got around pretty good! Not sure who the starter is so you'll have to help me out on that.

PS notice the drivers suit my mother has on....pretty much her Sunday best!!!! here's a very grainy one of the powder puff  top point getters circa 1967. My Mom is second from the left...need help on who the others are. photographer unknown.

Last one tonight. Don't have a photo credit and not sure who it is.  It's a flat head FORD so probably a Chemung picture from the early sixties. My mind says the driver may be named Hoose but that may be all wet. Some old timers must know so fill us in.

Brewerton had a regular powder puff division too. I would have loved to see my mom try to drive my dad's late model. She couldn't even get the car started in the front yard one day when I was like 5 years old.  ;D

Looking for 1970's and 1980's photos of Ray Dalmata. He had very nice looking cars and equipment. Also any photos of his brother Larry Dalmata in the #644.

I have some B&W pics of Ray from racing programs. I don't know if I have any of Larry. Maybe in one of my Gater News Yearbooks. I'll look.

They're from the '75 Gater News Yearbook, so they're probably from 1974 or early 1975. I don't think I have one of the 645, but I remember seeing one years ago with three cars in it, 643, 644, 645. But, I don't know where. I'll keep looking though. I have a pretty large Weedsport/Rolling Wheels/DIRT program collection. I know there is more of Ray. He ran Weedsport and Rolling Wheels semi regular back in '76.

This is a pic from the program around 1977. Wally Burnett in the ex- Jerry Chamberlain Falcon and my Brother Darrell Welty in the 98jr. I think this was taken at Waterloo Speedway judging by the wall.
