Older Dirt Modified Short Transmission Help Needed...

My vintage modified has what appears to be a shortened 3 spd with an internal clutch put in that is activated with a hydraulic hand lever that feeds a line down to the back of the transmission, where something that resembles a solenoid is, on the rear cover. Any one familiar with these? I would really like some input before I go tearing into it. I see no place to bleed anywhere. I can take photos. Thanks in advance.

What is wrong with it ? that solenoid is where the fluid ( clutch apply ) line is connected to , just keep the master cyl above the solenoid and should bleed it self by just working the master cyl a few times, it takes pressure to engage the low and reverse, high gear is a direct drive, if it turns smooth and the input shaft is not twisted off then I would try it first, never seen much wrong with them, sometimes they squeal on take off but never any problems that I know of. It doesn't take too much pressure to engage and all the ones I have seen are hand lever applied.

Some preferred to engage the clutch with a foot pedal - usually with the left heel.  I liked the lever type, up to the right.
