It’ll be a new adventure for a driver and car owner, who have plenty of experience at the Brockville Ontario Speedway with many wins and track championships on their resumes.

DIRTCar 358 Modified car owner and former Sportsman and 358 Modified track champion at The BOS, Steve Polite and Kyle Dingwall will pair up for a full season this year with a plan to go or the season long point title.

In a phone conversation with Polite, he mentioned that he and driver Matt Billings mutually parted ways at the end of 2024 as Billings pursues opportunities in the Sprint Car ranks once again. Billings turned in some great performances aboard the Polite Sand and Gravel number 1 machine last year. The Brockville driver scored a win on July 20th, the first time in 10 years since he had won in the class. He also claimed 7 top 10s in 8 starts and finished 10th in track points.

The 2025 season will be a new venture for both Dingwall and Polite but both are confident in each other to get to victory lane on multiple occasions this year. Last season Dingwall, the 2012 track champion, scored another solid season aboard his own number 66 machine. Dingwall claimed two wins on June 15th and August 10th, to go along with 6 top 5s and 10 top 10 finishes in 11 starts, good enough for third in points, but both Dingwall and Polite know they can do plenty more as a team and will be putting their efforts together, in an effort to get to the top of the point list at seasons end.

According to car owner Steve Polite the car number is still undecided for now but a decision will be made in the coming weeks. Kyle will still maintain his own number 66 ride, but will focus on major events across the region. Polite continue to have Mike Blok powerplants under the hood of his ride, while Dingwall’s number 66 will once again showcase the horsepower from Yves Lafrance in 2025.

Dingwall has had a great career at the Brockville Ontario Speedway since turning his first laps in the Sportsman ranks in the early 2000s. Dingwall owns 7 career Sportsman wins along with the 2004 track title, where he claimed 5 wins on his way to the crown. In the 358 Modified rank Dingwall has been even stronger with 22 career wins good for 10th on the all time win list and the 2012 358 track title.

Steve Polite has also seen plenty of success in his career as a car owner at Brockville. His son Kenny claimed a DIRTCar Sportsman win along with back to back Vintage championships in 2018 and 2019. Recently veteran driver Randy Gaudet has climbed back behind the wheel and has been outstanding in the Polite Vintage cars. Gaudet recently scored the 2024 Eastern Ontario Vintage Club Championship for the 70/80 division and will be back behind the wheel for many shows in 2025.

Polite also took Hall of Famer Danny O’Brien to his historic 100th and 101st DIRTCar 358 Modified wins at Brockville in 2023.

The 2025 Brockville Ontario Speedway schedule will be released soon and eyes will be on Dingwall and Polite as they try to bring home a track title.
