Jon Mckennedy wins in Tommy Baldwin's car. Jimmy Blewett 2nd filling in for Ryan Preeces. 3rd Matt Hirschman, 4th Chase Dowling, 5th Justin Bonsignore.

Interesting how the LFR cars were all fast early to middle of the race, then the Troyers chased them down and got the top 3 in the end.

Congratulations to my nephew Steve for pulling off another successful tour mod show in the deep south. Steve is the gm of myrtle beach speedway and is a 3rd generation modified guy. It was his idea to bring the tour there and his hard work and dedication payed off with another great event.

Crowd was light for the premier Modified series in the country. Tech was longer than the race, Guess who's car was 100 percent legal? ( and set fast time for the third WMT race in a row)

Pretty good show overall. On Weds at 6 PM. NBCSN.  WATCH IT !!!!!  I said.  ;)

Passed on Caraway yes. Pee Dee is committed to Hickory and we worked on the change over from NAS to the SMRS on the 60 to get ready while we had  a crew down in SC. Don't have any idea on the payout but with only 8 cars.....weli I'm glad I wasn't the promoter. 2 of the 8 were "invaders" and I'm told Jon McKennedy easily was the class of that short field. That Baldwin 7NY team is going to be a force all year.
Pee Dee will be at Seekonk in June for it's next Tour go around.  Had a good time down there but going from 75* to 6 above today is more shock than I care for. Spring is here but only on the calendar.

I stayed south for an extra day and went to the SMRS race at Caraway.  Only 8 cars (as previously mentioned) and McKennedy in the 7NY was dominant leading all 99 laps to take win.  The only excitement was when the leaders came upon the back markers.  Other than that and a single restart (for debris on the track), the race was a real snooze.

Mrytle Beach is a great race track and fast too..Good for Steve for bringing the modified shows to M.B.. I heard the show was a good one,and nice win for Jon..

The track literally eats tires.  That combined with NASCAR's one tire per pit stop rule led to numerous strategies -- the effect of which is to have cars with new tires often restarting behind ones with older tires.
