Matt Tanner's race operation stolen in Canada

Scumbags strike again. ESS sprint car driver Matt Tanner had his entire race operation stolen in Brantford, Ontario. this is not the first time a racer had this happen in this city.
I would like to get Matts phone number. If anyone could post it, it would be appreciated.

Via Empire Super Sprints facebook page:

They have found Matt Tanner's truck and trailer but his sprint car and 4-wheeler is still missing. Please keep the search going. The picture of the car is on this site. Thanks

Matt's 4-wheeler is a '97 Polaris Explorer 400, green in color. It did have NY plates on it

Just some more information, Matt's sprint is a GF1 chassis and the motor was built by Don Ott... Thanks and lets hope the rest can be found

The truck and trailer are damaged, and everything inside the trailer is gone. Does the motor or chassis have an identification number on either one? (Like Bicknell stamps a number into their chassis?)

Yeah, I read a report from the local newspaper that said the same thing. Funny how Glenn Styres put up a $5k reward for it all to be returned...

unfortunately one of the larger car theft operations seems to operate out of the Six Nations Reservation up here in a similar vein to the one in Eastern Ontario and Quebec, one which seems to operate out of the Akwsasne Reserve which stradles the Quebec-NY border. You must think it will be hard to fence a Don Ott ASCS sprint car engine eh? Should stand out like a sore thumb. I hope in future teams will leave their haulers in a secure area at the track and not the area motels or invest in better imobilizers. And to top it off, the thieves stole a car that was wrecked!
Also, sadly on the same weekend, local asphalt lm driver Gord Bennett, who runs a driving school (and a pavement two seater ride along late model at Flamboro Speedway), had his work truck--a red and silver Volvo Big Rig---stolen from his yard in Cambridge Ontario sometime between Friday Night and 8pm Saturday. Gord was at Ohsweken with a Sprint Car he had purchased recently. Sounds like someone knew he would be away at one of the tracks. Usually Saturday nights he is at Flamboro with his ride along two seater.

Photo posted all over. Says the Car and Four wheeler have been recovered, meaning the whole racing operation has been recovered as well. Thanks to Oshweken Speedway Owner and the police on their investigative work to bring back the operation to Matt Tanner!

Curt Styres says everything recovered except a generator and some tools. Hope now they can can help Gord Bennett find his big rig

Did it happen to say if they found it on the Res, like they found the truck and trailer, Robert?

"Did it happen to say if they found it on the Res" What kind of racist comment is that? I take that as your making fun of us Native Americans. You need to go back in the kitchen where you belong.

I just don't understand as many times as this has happened up there in the last 3 to 5 years WHY these race teams don't install a manual electric master switch SOMEWHERE that ONLY they know the location ! Sure it would mean taking an extra maybe 1 to 2 minutes each time they get ready to park or go some place but chances are they would still have the means to do so when they wanted to !! Either that or rent / get a BFD (big fuc'ing dog) to add to there race teams for the trip up there and let him sleep in the truck....... I know its easy to set here after the fact BUT it just seems crazy as well as sad that this happens at least once a year anymore. JMO  MR

Reports said other stolen items were found on a reservation, and stolen items in previous years were found on a reservation.  Relax, he was just asking.

Just an idea - Would it be possible to have rigs left in the confines of the speedway?  Transportation could be arranged to carry race teams back and forth to the hotels.  The rigs would surely be protected if the speedway could hire security for the over-night hours.  Just an idea...

Not sure how that is even remotely racist, she asked if it was found on the reservation, where the truck and trailer was found, and yes, it was.
