Im sure it will be a good one, but not having the late models which would bring AT LEAST 2O CARS and adding dirt cars is crazy.(look at the points and see the cars and add a few from mountain and a couple outsiders).  The big dirt stars wouldnt bring their car to mvs. Even with 3000/win its not worth it and they will be lucky to get 20 cars If they wanted to try something new they should have had the show and include late models.  It would pack the grandstands including the top section. Cutting the street stocks laps wasn't the best move either. We have seen some great battles in that class and they deserve the 100 lapper. Yea yea I know dirt cars got a sponsor (GOOD FOR THEM) but the price will be the same. Add the late models and take a chance.

I absolutely LOVE the street stocks at Mahoning.  But the only 100 lapper I ever saw there was labor day weekend last year, and that was quite the snoozer.  I think they'll put on a much better show over a shorter distance (50 laps might be even better).  It looks like they are paying the same purse (winner's share anyway) as last year, so what's the big deal?

Everyone likes the street stocks and having the same pay is great. That may be only one that was a snoozer. This year they get over 30 cars some weeks with 20 starting plus 1-2  provisionals which are used up for most drivers. That makes the heats mean more that most tracks. The ss  and mods will be great my only issue is that they cut out the late models and added dirt mods. If they wanna try to get the real dirt cars that's fine (raise your hand if you think they enough dirt guys from Grandview and big d will show to get over 20 cars ) The late models showed they can get 20 last year and looking at the cars between mountain and mvs there are bout 30. These guys raced all year with more cars than dirt cars and get left out. I was there last year and saw a great race and know that there was a big profit and if there were included this year they would pay their own purse with pit passes and grandstand tix.

Sure wish this race wasn't scheduled the same weekend as Eastern States Weekend this year.  Enjoyed Octoberfast very much last year, but passing up Eastern States is simply not an option  Hopefully next year the schedule will fall differently.
