The 2014 Race of Champions Asphalt Modified Tour Schedule Grows to 14 Races. Two 100 lap events added to slate...

From Andrew Harpell - We have made some subtle changes to our 2014 Race of Champions Asphalt Modified Tour Schedule. The May Lancaster Speedway date has been moved to Saturday, June 7th allowing teams to make one trip to western, NY on that weekend as the Spencer event is the night before.

We have added an event to the Chemung Speedrome as one of three events that the RoC staff will individually promote. That 100 lap race will take place on Saturday, August 9th (Watkins Glen Weekend) and will be 100 laps. This will include the previously RoC leased/promoted events of Holland Speedway on Saturday, July 5th and the Sunoco Race of Champions Modified 200 on September 14th at Oswego Speedway.

call it what you want.i think there should be enough cars this year i just hope theres enough people in the stands. it was tough looking over at the empty seats  :mad:

anybody have a car count? just curious. what is going to brring the cars back? i hope that's true. cars may bring fans back.

Very curious on a car count since management drove away so many last year... Many sportsman have committed to wcis and holland, no late models, super stocks are part time / traveling, the tqs won't venture from holland even more so than last year, which leaves you with the street stocks who were jerked around just as bad as anyone last year and the 4 cylinders. No offense to those 2 classes but I don't see them drawing a ton of fans. Hope the mods can draw huge crowds.

I heard Lancaster Speedway a new race director. I heard he loves racing more than anything in the world and knows that the fans and drivers are the most important people to the tracks survival. I hope that can drum up some interest on both sides.

I've met the new race director and I think he'll do fine if he can keep this on the up and up and apply the rules fairly and evenly across the board.

Tough to do when your friends race there but can be done. Thick skin and steel stones WILL be needed going forward. I wish him well.

who are these so called friends utica mike .im not sure he favors any one .seems like his heart is in the right place.i have spoke with him a couple of times hes pretty commited to success.we have alittle surprize for some big players opening day ...... stay tuned
