Bristol This Weekend. Well, Lets Hear It...

Danica did pretty good for a driver with no talent. Will all the people screaming about how boring Bristol was with multi-groove racing be the ones bitchin about what a crashfest it is now? I'm not a Jeff Hammond fan, but he hit the nail on the head... "They either want the racin' or the wreckin" ...or something like that.

Kyle Petty just said a fact about racing @ Bristol on the pre-race show on Speed, which also applies to this forum:  they don't know what they want--basically saying it's impossible to make everybody happy.  Racing or wrecking, which do you want to see? Even the fans can't decide right now  I don't think you can have both at that place!

I bitched about her when she wrecked at Watkins Glen now I am going to say Danica did a hell of a job last night anytime you can come out of Bristol with a top ten and a clean race car you did a great job

1. Great crowd. Announced as 145,000.......Bruton got what he wanted. Probably invested a million and got five in return. Got to give him credit.

2. The racing was fantastic. The high groove proved to be even better that what it was before. It was tougher than ever to complete the pass on the bottom. Bruton got what he wanted through DUMB LUCK. I thought the biggest difference between this race and the Spring race was a sense of urgency from the drivers, the willingness to mix it up.

3. Danicant's best run on an oval both days, at Bristol, who'd a thunk it.....She had a good shot at a top 20.

4. Tony being Tony. You can't complain about vanilla drivers and then complain about Tony too.

5. Brian Vickers deserves a full time ride.

i saw the MODs were @ 127.+mph ...the trucks @ 115.+mph
kinda wonder what the lap speed of the cup cars was ? considering they have more HP...(like almost 300 ?)

Ever hear of power-to-weight ratio?  Cup cars are way heavier...that's why the have the bigger HP! (As well as being NASCAR top series)

Exactly couldnt agree more  ;D ...but i was mainly interested in lap speeds should have left that last part off perhaps ~ by no-means do i see any of the 3 classes as equal or even close in HP Speed or Weight
