Breaking NEW Mike"Moose" Ayers JR is walking away from racing as a crew member

Breaking News coming from Mike"Moose" Ayers JR is walking away from racing as a crew member. Family and other issues have made it hard for Mike to do what he wants to do. Mike has crewed for the 2009 and 2010 Thunder Mountain Speedway Imca Modified Track Champion Chris Fleming and he has helped Jim LaRock, Randy Brokaw, Rich Gardiner Randy Marsh, and helped with Rollin Thunder Rich Green. If everything goes well Mike might be back for the 2011 season for racing. Mike is a great person and who loves racing and wants to be there every weekend If things do get better Mike might be in a race car next year or crewing.

Dave Despain had it on his show last night and I just about fell over. I can not believe that was not front page news in this mornings sports section of the paper. What will all the drivers at Thunder and Skyline do?

Well that just about ruins dirt racing for me. Richard Childress was looking for a gas catch guy too.

Wait, didn't he quit last year too?  ::)

Guess Harvick is pissed, was really looking forward to working with him next year.

I think he's like the Brett Favre of Thunder Mountain.  Big "press release" every year after the season ends.  The following year, he comes out of retirement.

For all of you ignorant people that think it's entertaining to gain a laugh at mike's expense... you have no clue about mike.  his heart is completely in the right place and if you'd like me to clarify for you what the issue is then please PM me on here and I'll gladly do so.  Mike is a devout fan of the racing community and an outstanding BOCES student back in his day.  Need I say more?  Do your thing Mike.

Thanks Nick I have had alot going on and my last race my not be done yet. I have been asked to Crew for Chris Fleming at 5 Mile Point. Things are getting better and next year I might be back. My last race at Thunder Mountain Speedway was the Hurricane on the Mountain.

I don't knowanyone involved here but what I have read and seen on here now and before,I think Motor head must be a fun loving guy with a lot of freinds. All of this is probably more of a tribute then anything else. No matter which, GOOD LUCK .
