Call me crazy but if someone is buying a house, I would think that checking out stuff like where the location of schools, churches, gas stations, grocery stores, etc.)
before buying. Conversely, if you find something objectionable (railroad tracks, airports, noisy/smelly industrial areas, odor-producing places like agriculture, food processing and other similar annoying industries), don't BUY, MOVE or LIVE in those areas!!! The frustrating part (for race participants, the fans the racing businesses themselves) is that most existed LONG before urban/suburban sprawl, and have paid taxes for a long time as well (and still do)! Don't buy and then cry over your bad choice!

The Pennsylvania dirt track intends to fight the court ruling​

Bloomsburg Fair Raceway is a 3/8-mile dirt track located in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. The track has been shut down following a court ruling.
There’s a noise ordinance in the area, which the track was exempt from. However, in November of last year, their exemption expired.
A court ruling has forced the track to immediately stop running racing events. This comes shortly after upgrades were made to the facility.
“We are disappointed with the ruling; however, we will comply,” Sean Logsdon Esq. told WNEP, Attorney for the Bloomsburg Fair Association.

The track intends to fight the ruling…

Bloomsburg Fair Raceway Statement​

On Monday, the track issued the following statement:
“On July 27, 2023, a hearing was held at the Columbia County Courthouse on a Petition for a Preliminary Injunction filed by the Town of Bloomsburg against the Bloomsburg Fair,” the track stated via social media.
“The Petition sought to enjoin the Fair from conducting any further automotive races at the Fairgrounds until such time as the Fair can show that racing can be conducted within the confines of the 65-decibel level as established by the Town’s amended noise ordinance.”
“On July 31, 2023, the Judge granted the Town’s Petition, and although we are disappointed with the Court’s decision, racing will halt at this time in compliance with the Court’s Order. The Fair is presently considering its appellate rights in relation to this Order, and will continue to pursue damages against the Town for its losses in relation to this temporary shutdown of racing operations.”
“We ask you to be mindful of the fact that the Injunction Order issued today is only Preliminary, and the Fair will continue to litigate this matter in the Courts and fight for justice in the face of the Town’s odious and unfair treatment of one of our area’s most cherished organizations.”

While I hate to see this too, you can't blame this
one entirely on the neighbors. The track went from a once a year event to more than a dozen races scheduled this year....
