Ben knew how to PROMOTE Modified racing. If you ever went to a NASCAR Tour race at "The Park" in its heyday you knew you were at a media spectacular, not just a race. The music playing, the lights turned off and the spotlight on Ben as he walked down through the grandstand to the track and introduced the starting field. Then you witnessed one of the best Modified races of the season in any given year. The night was always one you would remember forever.
Of course, any Saturday night at Riverside was as good as it gets. A great field of cars and races that left you breathless. I often made a weekend out of it, hanging out at Mario Fiore's shop across the street from The Park. If there was a Tour race on Friday night or Sunday it just made it even better. I should have moved to Agawam - I almost did. But as always, the good times can't last forever.
But the memories can!
