And look! 9 cars on the lead lap! Oh damn that NASCAR! This sport has been horrible for years!

Now that was a race!  And the number of cars on the lead lap is completely meaningless as an indicator of how good the racing was/is.  Of course nascar will use that stat to brag about how much more parity there is today (like that's a good thing).

Don't forget that was a track they bulldozed under and made into 1 1/2 mile race track.Also they had bias ply tires.

Atlanta was never "plowed under"... they reversed the front & back straights and re-shaped what is NOW the front straight. Slightly reconfigured, but never plowed under.
